Jody Nilsen graduated from the School Of Visual Arts in NYC while working full-time at Y&RNY. She had transferred in as a Senior from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. A few years into her career she started working as a free-lance illustrator for various companies in the NYC metro area. A move to Chicago led her to become the on-staff Illustrator at Big Idea Productions (the company responsible for such entertainment as VeggieTales and 3-2-1 Penguins) where she worked for the Design Department and on several projects for the Animation studio for four years. Throughout the years, her professional career has ranged from working for advertising to editorial projects to painting the lettering for the Payne Whitney Basketball Court for Yale University back in the late nineties. She still enjoys drawing in her spare time and is currently working on several personal projects that she hopes to publish. She is grateful that someone invented coffee, the bicycle, the PS4, and books on CD as those make life a dream from which she chooses not to wake.
