A client that I had sent me this article. The painting behind the woman was done years ago for a friend, Bridgette. her husband had a PR company that would promote the rehabbed buildings in the twin cities and turn them into lofts. Bridgette hung that painting in one of the loft models that were being shown and that created a nice selling point. From then on, we did many paintings together to hang in loft spaces while Patrick and his team did the marketing. It’s rather ironic that the article talks about displacing local artists to move in expensive lofts. It’s happened in every city where I’ve lived and I doubt that will ever cease.
